Meetsy Hall of Fame Vol. 1

Welcome to the Meetsy Hall of Fame!

A celebration of creative and impactful strategies by Meetsy customers for Meetsy customers.

What they did:

The HR team announced Meetsy at their All- Hands meeting, then immediately invited departments to book a “PUG Party”—a session led by the L&D team showcasing the value of PUGS (Personal User Guides) and guiding the team in filling out their own! In 2 months, over 60 new employees attended PUG parties and added PUGS to their Meetsy Profiles!

What you could do!

Get inspired by Airtable, and brainstorm creative ways to get your community into Meetsy. Whether it’s a PUG Party for internal teams (Here’s the deck Airtable used! and a Meetsy-branded PUG Party template for your use!), or utilizing Group Discussions for after-parties following events, it’s all about furthering the conversation and resources for your members.

What they did:

As a way to raise awareness and increase adoption, 15Five used these slides to the end-of-event decks to invite people to continue the conversation in Meetsy. Adding this strategy helped 15Five grow their Meetsy to over 400 active members in less than 6 months.

What you could do!

Meet your community where they are. Whether it’s attending virtual or in-person events (Meetsy QR code on nametags anybody?!), “Meet me on Meetsy” email signatures, or pinned resources in Slack channels, make sure your community is aware of your Meetsy match programs.

Inspired by 15Five’s deck slides, and with their permission, we created Meetsy branded deck slides for you to implement into your events/adoption strategies! Internal communities + External communities

What they did:

Understanding your community segments can help inform your match program build-out, which caters to your members' needs. Sometimes, just a “general networking” program won’t cut it. Gong’s solution? Multiple one-on-one connection opportunities for every member category/ segment. Their 3 initial match programs resulted in over 3,000 intentional matches in 2022 (a 400% increase from the year prior). Here’s what that looked like:

  • Customer members only: connections exclusively between Gong customers
  • Non-customer members: connections between revenue intelligence professionals who aren’t Gong customers (open to customers who want to connect with non-customers
  • Women in Revenue: connections between women in the community (open to both customers and non-customers)

What you could do!

Categorize your community members into segments, and create match programs that serve them! If your community is comprised of customers and other community members, add value to the customer experience and create a match program for customers only. Do you have a bunch of parents in your community? Or a minority group? Book lovers? Cater to them.

Growth Idea:

Get a C-suite or industry leader to join a match program. Then, encourage sign up for that program with the message, "You'll even have a chance to be matched with our CEO/CMO/etc"

Impact:

Not only will this incentivize match program sign-ups (growth!) but the guest of honor match will show that your organization values its community. A memorable, valuable connection can be created through Meetsy magic.

Growth Idea:

Utilize your post-meeting survey responses and share them with your community (with the member’s permission of course!) If someone left great feedback or praise for a program, showcase that in your monthly newsletter or social media/community posts.

Impact:

Showing your community that you’re listening, by highlighting and engaging with their feedback, demonstrates that you value their engagement! When community members feel heard and supported, they’re more likely to engage and participate in programming.

Adoption Idea:

The first few weeks in a community are the most important to ensure a new member regularly engages. Add Meetsy to your onboarding for new community/team members! Make sure they're participating and feeling welcome from the get-go, by introducing them to ambassadors, MVPs, and newbie-specific match programs and group discussions.

Impact:

Providing Meetsy resources in onboarding sparks immediate opportunities for new members to connect and participate. This will ingrain both Meetsy and your new members into your community with little lift.
